FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is a mala, and what do you use it for?
You can learn about what malas represent and how to use a mala by reading here. Each mala is listed with the stones and seeds it has been constructed with - see individual malas for stone meanings and unique mala descriptions.
Where does my (mala) donation go?
Each parks-inspired mala that I sell, $5 is contributed to the parks agency that supports it. You can learn more about where the donations go by reading here.
I want a shirt or sweater in a color or size that isn't listed - can I get one?
Chances are good! All of my apparel is printed and prepared locally by a good friend of mine. We can generally find what you're looking for in a variety of sizes, styles (shirts, sweaters, tank tops, etc.) and colors. If you want a custom item shoot me a message to get the details.
My mala broke - can you repair it?
Absolutely. Malas can break for a variety of use - typically rough wear or from extended use. If your knotted mala does break, you shouldn't lose more than a bead or two (thanks to the knots!) but do your best to keep track of any beads. Some say that when your mala breaks it means that you no longer require the intention your mala represented, but a lot of us have sentimental attachments to our well-worn malas and this I understand. For a nominal material fee (and shipping, if necessary), I am more than happy to re-knot your mala, and even fill in a bead or two if you do lose any. Please get in touch with me to discuss repairing your mala, or even if you have another mala that needs to be re-strung.
Don't see your question here?
Fret not - just jump over to the contact me page and shoot me an e-mail. I'll be happy to help.
I have an idea for a mala design - can you make it for me?
It would be my absolute pleasure to prepare a custom mala for you! Whether you know what you want or you just have a feeling for what you want, give me a shout. Let's talk materials, budget and timeline. The sky is the limit!
How much will shipping cost?
I'm still getting used to predicting shipping fees and I'm exploring a few carrier options. I've programmed estimated shipping values into my shop and will continue to adjust them as I learn. If the cost of shipping your item ends up being less than I charged you, I will refund you the difference! Thank you for your patience while I learn. :)
